The Junior Girls in Action - 18 October 2009
The Junior Girls of the VFW are quickly identifying themselves as a unit dedicated to helping our veterans and promoting Americanism within our community. They recently joined members of VFW Post 5077 for the monthly Missouri Veterans Home visit and helped with the bingo game as well as hand out trick-or-treat bags. The Junior Girls really enjoyed helping out our veterans and our veterans really enjoyed their company.
At October's meeting, the Junior Girls voted to donate $20 to help pay for the Halloween party that will be hosted by the Department of Missouri at the VFW National Home for Children in Eaton Rapids, MI.
The highlight of the meeting, however, was the pumpkin decorating, as seen in the picture. They are building close friendships that will last a lifetime.
